New York English Academy, offering various English Language Programs in New York, Manhattan

New York English Academy was founded in 1998 as a business career school in Manhattan. We are a premier licensed private career school offering a variety of high quality English courses. New York English Academy relocated to the Wall Street area, the world’s financial center, in December 2014.

The University of the State of New York Education Department certified New York English Academy as a licensed school in 2003, and renewed the license in 2021. In 2014, New York English Academy was further accredited by ACCET (Accrediting Council For Continuing Education & Training). We are also authorized by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to enroll non-immigrant foreign students, which enables us to issue I-20 forms to students that wish to obtain a student visa (F-1 Visa).

Licensed Private Career School

In order to maintain its license, the academy must adhere to stringent rules and regulations as stipulated by the New York State Department of Education. For instance, instructors are required to meet three different levels of licensing in order to teach and there are stringent guidelines in terms of the number of students allowed in each class.

Our teachers are trained to provide methodologies that focus on students’ needs, from learning basic vocabulary and pronunciation, all the way to professional business English. There are also programs for those who want to learn conversational English as well as idioms and slang. When students complete the program, they are awarded a Certificate of Completion.

ACCET

ACCET (Accrediting Council For Continuing Education & Training) is an independent national accrediting organization founded in 1974 for the purpose of improving continuing education and training. Since 1978 it has been officially recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a qualified source of higher education evaluation. ACCET requires schools seeking accreditation to adhere to a rigorous set of quality standards in their educational program offerings. New York English Academy has officially been accredited by ACCET since August 2014.
