Admission into St. Francis without TOEFL or IELTS

Admission into a college in the United States usually requires a high score on tests like TOEFL or IELTS to prove English ability.
Students typically devote a considerable amount of time on test prep before studying abroad.
But thanks to a unique NYEA/SFC partnership, students who complete Level 4 at NYEA are exempt from the test requirement when applying to SFC.

St. Francis College (SFC) was started 160-years ago to educate NYC’s growing immigrant population in the long tradition of Frascican liberal arts education.
The four-year college is located just across the river in Brooklyn, New York, and has 19 departments with 72 major and minor fields of study including: Pre-Heath Professions, Chemistry and Physics, Sociology and Criminal Justice, Economics, Humanities, Management and Information Technology, and Nursing.

At less than 1/3 the tuition cost of other private colleges and universities in the New York City, SFC offers one of the most affordable private, post-secondary educations.
In addition, every student who transfers to SFC from NYEA will receive up to $12,000 scholarship!

SFC ranks in the top 11% of all 6,000 universities in the U.S. The college has a vibrant sports culture, participating in basketball, golf, soccer, tennis, and swimming, among others.

Here is how you can take advantage of this great opportunity

  • POINT1

    Apply to St. Francis College. If you have a TOEFL, IELTS or any other test score, send it to them. If you don’t have a test score, that’s OK.

  • POINT2

    If your GPA is high enough to gain admission to St. Francis College, you will receive a letter of conditional admission, even if you need to improve your English.

  • POINT3

    You will begin your studies at New York English Academy and study until you pass our level 4. (*CEFR B2 level)

  • POINT4

    After you pass our level 4, you will start your degree program at St. Francis College.
