Admission Process for Non-F1 Students
At NYEA, the admissions process for non-F1 students is simple and straightforward.
Follow the steps below to begin your English learning journey with us:
-
Submit the Enrollment Form
Start by filling out and submitting the NYEA Enrollment Form
-
Take a Placement Test
After submitting your enrollment form, you will take a placement test to assess your English proficiency level.
This helps us place you in the right class that matches your skills and learning goals. -
Start Your Studies
You will receive information about the speaking test, an email detailing your class schedule, and orientation details.
Attendance at the orientation is mandatory as part of the enrollment process.
You can begin your full-time studies.
Once you complete these steps, you’re ready to start your classes! NYEA offers flexible start dates and a variety of programs to suit your schedule.
- For students attending on a B visa or ESTA: Students on a B visa or under the ESTA (Visa Waiver Program) are only eligible to enroll in part-time programs. Please plan accordingly.
- For Green Card holders and U.S. passport holders: You are eligible to enroll in all NYEA programs, including both part-time and full-time options.
- For students attending on an ESTA: Please note that your stay in the U.S. cannot exceed 90 days.
- Status changes: Since the ESTA is not a visa, you cannot apply for a change of status while in the U.S. on an ESTA. If you plan to change your status, you must leave the U.S. and apply from your home country.
