Short-term Absence/ Vacation

Students may take up to 8 weeks of short-term absence during their ongoing program.

A. After completing a 26-week course student may apply for 8 weeks vacation(*students on an F-1 visa)
  i. After an 8 week vacation, students may study 12 more weeks for a 4 week vacation
  ii. The cycle repeats: 26 weeks study, 8-week vacation, 12 weeks until next 4-week vacation.

B. Students must submit a written short-term absence form 1 week prior to vacation

C. Must be enrolled for at least 4 more weeks after the vacation finishes

D. Students must have:
  i. Maintained an 80% attendance rate
  ii. Maintained satisfactory academic progress

Please note that any whole weeks of classes missed for medical leave/leave of absence/ general absence do not count as time studied. If you miss/missed a whole week of class your vacation start date will be delayed by the week you have missed
