Students with us in 2019 Summer
New York City is fascinating in all the seasons of the year, but especially so in the summer. With the city’s immense variety of parks and summer activities, you could never be bored here. There are a large number of outdoor concerts and various summer events that take place throughout the city each year. The average summer temperatures range from the 80s to 90s F (20s to 30s C), while the nearby Atlantic Ocean often brings a certain amount of “air-conditioning” to our islands.
Here are some suggestions for free or low-cost activities that you could enjoy during a New York summer: Picnics in the parks (Central Park, Bryant Park, Prospect Park, and many more), the Boardwalk and beach at Coney Island (summer
Friday nights have a spectacular fireworks display), cool museums on hot days, strolling on the High Line and the Brooklyn Bridge, and many special events.
Here at New York English Academy’s new location in Manhattan’s Financial District, we can give you a lot of information about activities around our neighborhood: the South Street Seaport, the World Trade Center, the Statue
of Liberty, Governors Island are a few examples.

During my course, I have learned to get to know a lot of nice new people. I am very happy with my choice and thank NYEA for this unforgettable experience. I appreciate it very much.
