Picnic in Central Park August 31, 2012
One of the favorite activities for our PC TECH students is a picnic in the Park.
The Sheep Meadow is a great place to spread blankets, play soccer and frisbee, and have a little lunch. Students from our many cultures chat together – in English of course – and just relax in the beautiful sunshine.
Today was the perfect day for this!
Goodbye Summer! August 28, 2012
It’s that time of year again… time to pack up your beach umbrellas and bathing suits and get ready to welcome the Fall! But first, let’s get together and enjoy the last few days of warm weather we have.
This Friday, August 31st, we will be taking a trip to Central Park’s Sheep Meadow. We will meet at PC TECH and leave at 11:30 for Central Park and West 67th Street. Let’s spend the day enjoying the beautiful weather and each others company. We will be having a multicultural picnic so feel free to bring something to share with the group!

Our students got a special treat today at the practice sessions for the US Open Tennis Championships. We watched famous players like Sharapova and Sanchez and many others go through their workouts, with some really great action!
A Visit to 5Pointz August 22, 2012
5Pointz, in Long Island City and across the East River from PC TECH, is the site of a graffiti art museum and a lively street-arts scene. On Thursday we will be visiting this unique neighborhood of Queens to what it’s all about!
News from this week August 10, 2012
Rain didn’t keep Michael’s and Erin’s classes from enjoying an informative day at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, a great place to be on a rainy day!
The Olympic Games provide a lot of discussion in our classes – it’s friendly discussion too! Maybe we will miss them when they finish…
It’s been a hot and humid week in NYC… August 3, 2012
… but it didn’t stop our students from visiting some interesting places for knowledge and conversation, such as the American Museum of Natural History, Bryant Park, and even a bicycle tour of Central Park.
