Field Trip to the Museum of Natural History
On Thursday, March 1, 2018, a group of intrepid NYEA explorers set off on a journey of discovery to the Museum of Natural History. They traveled by subway to the Upper West Side to uncover the mysteries of life and the universe. Students ventured through the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods where they encountered the Velociraptor, Stegosaurus and the fearsome T-Rex! Students meandered through the 28 interconnected buildings and 45 permanent exhibitions where they came across plants, animals, fossils, meteorites and human cultural artifacts from all over planet Earth. The students even took time to find out how much they would weigh on the moon. After exploring the universe, the team stopped for some well-deserved appetizers and refreshments! It was a fun-filled, educational, and enlightening journey!
